These terms cover the Bookit Boy app and the bookitboy.com website, both provided by MultiMediaVerse LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose; if something is unclear, email hello@bookitboy.com.

1. What Bookit Boy is

Bookit Boy is a tool for running a small contracting business: customers, estimates, invoices, scheduling, expenses, time and mileage, and an on-device helper that files receipts and photos. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal or payment advice, and it is not a payment processor.

2. Test builds

Bookit Boy is currently provided as an early test build, free of charge. Test builds can have bugs, can change between versions, and may need to be reinstalled. Make a backup (More › Backup and export) before updating, and keep your own copies of anything important. We may stop providing a test build, or replace it with a paid version, at any time.

3. Your data and your responsibility

Everything you enter is stored on your own device, as described in the privacy policy. That means:

• You are responsible for backing it up. If a phone is lost, broken, reset or the app is uninstalled, the data on it is gone unless you have a backup file.
• You are responsible for the customer information you keep in the app and for using it lawfully.
• Documents the app produces (estimates, invoices, statements, tax summaries) are generated from what you typed. Check them before you send them. You are responsible for their accuracy, for your prices, taxes and terms, and for what you file with any tax authority.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Bookit Boy to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, or to attack, copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app or its mascot. The Bookit Boy name, the character and the artwork are ours.

5. No warranty

The app and the site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of any figure the app calculates, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. On-device text reading can misread a receipt; always check what BB filed.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MultiMediaVerse LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost business, arising from the app or the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free test build is zero.

7. Third-party apps and services

Sharing, texting, emailing, calling and navigating hand off to apps and services you choose (your phone's messaging app, email provider, maps app, cloud drive). Those are governed by their own terms, not ours.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be announced in the app or on this site before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
