Delete your data

Bookit Boy keeps your data only on your device. Deleting it is in your hands and takes a minute.

We hold no copy. There is no account to close and nothing on our servers to erase, because we have no servers that store app data. Once you follow the steps below, the data is gone. Keep a backup file first if you might want it back.

Android

  1. Optional: open Bookit Boy, go to More › Backup and export › Back up now, and keep the file if you want to come back later.
  2. Press and hold the Bookit Boy icon, tap App info, then Storage, then Clear storage. This wipes the database and all photos.
  3. Uninstall the app if you no longer want it. (Uninstalling also removes the data; step 2 is for people who want to keep the app but start empty.)

iPhone and iPad

  1. Optional: make a backup as above.
  2. Press and hold the Bookit Boy icon and tap Remove App › Delete App. iOS deletes the app's storage with it.

Browser version (bookitboy.com in Safari or Chrome)

  1. Optional: make a backup as above.
  2. In Safari: Settings › Safari › Advanced › Website Data, find bookitboy.com and swipe to delete. In Chrome: open the site, tap the lock icon in the address bar, then Site settings › Clear data.
  3. If you added it to your home screen, remove that icon as well.

Backup and export files

Backups, tax packs and CSV spreadsheets you made are ordinary files that went wherever you sent them (a cloud drive, an email, a computer). Delete those copies too if you want everything gone.

Emails you sent us

If you emailed support and want that email deleted, write to hello@bookitboy.com and we will remove it.
